Since my last post there have been a lot of changes in my life. The proposed new dye house was a lovely dream, but it ended up being just that – a dream. In fact, I have sold all of my dye supplies and equipment and no longer plan to do any dyeing outside of some small test items for my spinning experiments.
The reason for this is simple: We now live in a different house. While I will miss my old house very much, this new house gives me a larger studio with incredible storage, which will allow me to change the focus of what I will be creating. Mind you, I’m still all about wool, spinning, knitting, weaving, and experimenting, but I will be adding sewing, doll making, quilt making back into my life.
Between running Dyed in the Wool, teaching, and my day job, I had to forego these activities. Now that I don’t have a place to do any dyeing, I can turn my focus back to things that I’ve missed doing. I really look forward to setting my loom up for the first project in a few years. And I have really missed sewing!
Currently, I am in the process of moving everything from the old house to the new one, and am setting up my new studio (I can hardly wait to show it to you), which will take me another month or so. I will show you what color my new studio will be.

Be patient with me a little longer. I promise that this next chapter in my creative adventure will be lots of fun!
